Violette & Heloise Vendredi

 

Violette: Pretty Neighs, Everyone! The weather has improved a little and we horses have mainly shed our winter coats so we are looking svelte and gorgeous. I would like to start today with a lovely photo of me that was taken by a friend of Ms. C:

We just love this photo! That's a big cherry tree behind me and we enjoy the cherries when they ripen!

Here is one of Heloise in front of the same tree. As you can see, we still have mud!

And we have a fun photo of #1 trying to prevent me from grabbing the whole roll of Polo mints (hard mints with a hole that both humans and horses love)! That is Lily, Ollie's daughter, in the pic, by the way!

And The Big V sent this one in, showing the beautiful braiding he gets when he is doing fancy events.

As #1 is away, we won't be blogging tomorrow although we will have a Snuggles on Sunday post. She will be on the road back on Monday, so no post on Monday either.

Thankful Thursday

 

Benny: Hello. My name is Benny and I am a licker. Today, I would like to express my thankfulness to the nice people who let me lick them clean! First among these is my #1. The following photos were taken by Mr. G:

I also enjoy giving Mr. G a good licking but  he was busy taking pics. I shall have to remind #1 to take some pics of us next time!

Woofie Wednesday

 

Ollie: Woofs, Everyone! It was great having Mr. G and his Mum and Dad here on Sunday. Those are my favourite times! As the weather was nice,  we spent time outside and Mr. G took a bunch of photos of me!

#1 says some cow genes must have gotten mixed in with mine when I was in the womb, because I do love grass!

I love it when Mr. G looks after us, but I will also miss my #1 whilst she is away!

Tama-Chan Tuesday

 

Tama-Chan: It's Tuesday again and time for me to share my news for the week. It has been another really nice week, with #1 here, although that is about to change (surprise, surprise...). As you know, we celebrated little Ryū's first birthday on Sunday and had Mr. G and family to lunch, which is always lovely!

So, #1 is leaving us on Thursday morning. She is driving up to Belgium, to attend an FEI Steward "Transfer-Up Course" so she can go from being a Level I steward to a level II steward, ahead of this summer's Paralympic Games. It will be a fun time for her, but also a lot of hard work, so I have started crossing my paws that all will go smoothly and she will pass!

I know that she will study hard!

She just needs to apply herself!

Mr. G took this pic of me with "The Thug" at rest, his tail almost touching me!

And this one with my little apprentice. He was wide awake there!

I suppose I have to tolerate the youngsters...

All being well, #1 should be back with us by next Monday evening. Mr. G will of course be taking excellent care of us!

Benny: Happy New Week, Everyone, and welcome to the post featuring the best boys, ie all the boys, of The Poupounette! We had a great time yesterday celebrating Ryū-Chan's first birthday. Mr. G took some great pics, so here are some:

Ryū-Chan: I had a visit from someone called Rainbow Beebs, and I paid him my respects.

Sunday Celebration! HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYŪ

 

In this Year of the Dragon, our very own little Dragon, Ryū-Chan (full name URYŪ 雨竜 or Rain Dragon, and pedigree name Ultimo de Pippin's Pride) is celebrating his FIRST BIRTHDAY today! He was the last kitten by his mother Piccolo (aka Pickle) who has now been retired and is living a life of leisure, and was a singleton.

Here he is, just after he was born:

Ryū: When #1 met up with my breeder half-way to hand me over, I was about three and a half months old. Here I am with Ms. V:

I spent my first few days at Poupounette Central in quarantine in the guest bathroom, getting to know #1.

I then came out and met my bros, Benny and Momo.

And of course Queen Tama!

#1 says I was already a very handsome boy!

And a very wise one!

I loved my new family and ate all my food and grew like a good boy! By six months, I was apprenticed to Queen Tama.

And I was growing nicely!

My brother Momo, in particular, has been a great mentor!

I learned about sleeping under the covers with #1:

There was this big guy called Ollie... I found him a bit scary at first but both my kitty bros adore him, so I got closer:

Then I had my first Christmas! We all got special collars!

I have continued to grow, but apparently not "into my ears"!

I love my family!

And I adore my #1!
